Motion Picture Industry
The technological, creative, and commercial institutions involved in the conception, production, distribution, and exhibition of audiovisual works for screen‑based consumption.
It includes, but is not limited to, the following sectors:
  • Production Companies & Studios - financing and managing film creation
  • Screenwriting & Development -writers, script editors, and story development
  • Performers & Talent - actors, voice artists, stunt performers
  • Animation & Visual Effects - 2D, 3D, CGI, stop‑motion, hybrid techniques
  • Cinematography & On‑Set Production - directors, crews, set design, costumes, makeup
  • Post‑Production - editing, sound design, scoring, visual effects integration
  • Distribution & Marketing - theatrical release, streaming, promotion, publicity
  • Exhibition - cinemas, festivals, streaming platforms, broadcast channels
  • Supporting Institutions - unions, guilds, film schools, archives, and regulatory bodies
Proposal
A written request submitted by any member using the Standard Proposal Form

Members selected by sortition from the active roster using the procedure in Section 4.3.
Sub‑Committee (“SC”)
An ad hoc group formed per Section 4 to develop the final proposal.
Training Programme
Any formally structured initiative, endorsed by industry institutions or professional bodies, that delivers specialized instruction and practical experience across the creative, technical, and commercial sectors of filmmaking, with the goal of preparing participants for professional roles and ensuring alignment with industry standards.
